The University of Embu has been ranked the best performing State Corporation in the just released performance contracting report.
In the report, the University attained a composite score of 1.7272 followed by the National Irrigation Authority which managed a composite score of 1.7729.
Of the top ten ranks, four public universities made it to the list, which has been attributed to the strong performance management structures that have been put in place with top management support.
At number three is Kenyatta University Research, Referral and Teaching Hospital which attained a composite score of 1.8555 followed by Tharaka University College at number four.
“The composite score of Tharaka University College is at 1.9727,” the report read.
At number five, the Water Resources Authority with a composite score of 2.0515 followed by Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency with a score of 2.1180.
Kenya Industrial Estates bagged position number seven followed by the University of Nairobi at position eight.
South Eastern Kenyan University was ranked position nine, and the Tourism Fund became number ten with a composite score of 2.2648.
The report was launched by President William Ruto at the Kenya International Conference Center, Nairobi.
