The 2023 KCSE results were released by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), with over 903,260 candidates participating in the national examinations. Unlike the previous year, candidates will not be able to check their results through an SMS code. Instead, individual results can be accessed online via a link on the KNEC website or directly through the URL www.results.knec.ac.ke. The Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu, briefed President William Ruto at State House Eldoret before announcing the results.
Official result slips will be available through the examination centers where candidates took their exams. The decision to discontinue the use of SMS service for result checking was made after errors were observed during the release of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams. The results were promptly made available on the KNEC website following the announcement by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
