The Ministry of Education on Tuesday, November 15, announced days, dates, sessions and duration of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KEPSEA) exam.
The exams just like KCPE exams will be done in three days starting on Monday, November 28, 2022 and commence on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
The test will be done by the pioneer class of the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).
The grade six students will sit the exam in preparation for transition to junior secondary school under the new curriculum.
On Monday, the pupils will sit for Mathematics exam. Mathematics paper will be done between 8:30am – 9:50am while Mathematics (Large Print) will be done between 8:30am – 9:50am and Mathematics (Braille) will start same time but end at 10:20am.
The pupils will have a 30-minute break before sitting for the English paper.
The paper will end at 11:50am but learners taking English (Hearing impaired) and English (Braille) will stop at 12:10pm.
On the second day, the pupils will take Integrated Science, Kiswahili and Kenyan Sign Language tests.
Integrated Science will commence at 8:30 and end at 10:10am except pupils taking Integrated Science (Braille) that will end at 10:40am.
After a 30-minute break, the pupils will be tested in Kiswahili and Kenya Sign Language.
The papers will end at 12:10pm except Kiswahili Braille that will end at 12:30pm
On the final day, learners will sit for Creative Arts and Social Sciences.
The paper will start at 8:30 and end at 10:10am except for Braille version that will end at 10:40am marking the end first CBC national exam.
